Donald E. Martinez
Don has been with the Fine Law Firm since 1989. He currently practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, product liability and medical malpractice law. He has filed several declaratory judgment complaints in state district court on the issue of uninsured motorist coverage. He also has extensive litigation experience involving wrongful death claims, automobile and truck accidents, work-place accidents, slip and fall accidents, and claims against the State of New Mexico and other public entities.
He is a Spanish-speaking native New Mexican and his family can trace its roots in New Mexico back 350 years. Don attended Albuquerque Public Schools, graduating from Manzano High School in 1971. He received his Bachelor of University Studies degree from the University of New Mexico in 1975. Following graduation, he was employed as a teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools. He then attended the University of New Mexico School of Law, and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1984. He was employed as a staff attorney with the New Mexico Court of Appeals from 1984 through 1987. After leaving the Court of Appeals, Don was employed by the Public Defenders and by a large insurance defense firm, defending against workers' compensation and other liability claims.

He is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, and the Hispanic Bar Association. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Dismiss House, a non-profit organization which reintegrates ex-criminal offenders into the community.
