$1 Million Verdict for Injured New Yorker

A Staten Island waitress, who lost her sight in one eye after a brain tumor was removed has been awarded $1 Million by a Manhattan jury which found her doctors negligently failed to diagnose the tumor.

After a three-day trial before Supreme Court Justice Stanly Sklar, the jurors found the Staten Island Medical Group, a HIP clinic, was liable to Joanne Falconer, 28-years-old at the time the benign tumor was removed, for $350,000 for her past pain and suffering and $650,000.00 for her future pain and suffering
